FILLING
& AESTHETIC RESTORATION

Simple dental filling is the insertion of a tooth coloured filler material (composite or GIC) in the cavity of the tooth left behind after removal of the tooth decay. Another form of dental fillings is inlays to fill large cavities which is fabricated in ceramic or zirconia material. Aesthetic restorations are generally carried out for chipped tooth/partly broken front teeth or minor gaps in front teeth (known as diastema). These are done in tooth coloured composite resin material for perfect teeth shade matching.

CROWNS
& VENEERS

A crown is a complete restoration for the visible portion of the tooth and is sometimes referred to as a “cap”. Crowns are typically made from ceramic or zirconia, materials used due to their strength, durability, resistance to staining, ease of color matching and natural appearance. Crowns are typically used in restoration when the structure of a tooth has been seriously impacted and fillings are not adequate to restore a tooth. Veneers are thin shells of material that are bonded onto the surface of the teeth, and made from the same material as crowns. Veneers are used for cosmetic restoration of teeth that are worn, discolored, chipped or crooked or to fill spaces between front teeth. Veneers can be used on a single tooth or multiple teeth, matching the existing color of the other teeth, for a complete smile makeover.

BRIDGES

Bridge consists of multiple crowns joint together and is used to fill space(s) left by permanent tooth loss. A bridge is held in place with support from adjacent natural teeth or implants. It provides overall strength to the affected area and keeps adjoining teeth structure in position and improves the function of chewing. Dentures are artificial teeth, typically removable but also come in fixed option, and could be full or partial depending upon the clinical requirement.

BRACES
& CLEAR ALIGNERS

Braces are used to correct crooked or misaligned teeth, mostly in children between the age group of 12- 16 years, however adults can also get braces for the same treatment. Brackets are placed on teeth and are connected with wires and modules to cause the forces of correction. Simple braces are available in ceramic or metal options. Self-ligating braces are an advanced option. Lingual braces are placed behind the teeth. Clear aligners are a revolutionary new technology for straightening teeth utilizing a series of custom-made clear aligners set. They are made of transparent plastic sheets that fit over the teeth to reposition them. This treatment requires very infrequent visits for orthodontic checkup and its concealing property makes it ideal for adults. READ MORE

 SPECIAL SERVICES

PAEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

Children have always been known to most fear ‘The Dentist’. We at The Tooth Company believe in a warm smile and dedicated child engagement through an on chair audio-visual entertainment of the child’s favourite cartoon or animated feature. Our pediatric specialists are highly trained in child behaviour management and strive to make the child, as well as the parent’s experience, struggle free.

AESTHETIC DENTISTRY

Also known as a Smile Makeover program, aesthetic dentistry may include a variety of procedures that can alter the visual appearance of teeth and gums, and therefore, your smile and face. To get a perfect smile such treatments can enhance colour, position, shape, size, alignment, and overall facial appearance. Treatments include braces and aligners, veneers, implants, crowns, inlays and onlays, bridges, dentures, tooth recontouring, and LASER assisted teeth whitening, gingival sculpting, and gum depigmentation.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Almost all dental procedures have an application of LASER. At The Tooth Company, a LASER is used for disinfection and cleaning of oral surgical sites, painless removal of dead tissue and debris, and soft tissue surgery, substantially reducing the pain faced by the patient. Special anaesthesia delivering technique helps improve the consistency, accuracy, and near painless delivery of local anaesthesia, with a much quicker recovery time to normalcy.

SPECIAL NEEDS DENTISTRY

This branch of dentistry, also known as special care dentistry, is concerned with the oral health of children and adults who are specially abled. We at The Tooth Company have dental practitioners who have undergone special needs behavioural training and are fully equipped to handle dental conditions in patients with medical, physical, or psychiatric issues. Such cases are mostly reviewed in premises but treated at a hospital under general anaesthesia. The Tooth Company provides the option to treat a special patient at the hospital of their family’s choice.

IMMEDIATE LOADING IMPLANTS

Conventionally implants have been left for several months after the surgical placement, however, the new advancements in modern dentistry have brought forward the concept of immediate loading of implants. Our highly skilled and internationally trained implant specialists are fully capable of placing the implants and crowns are given within 48 hours of implant surgery and the healing begin thereafter. In some cases where immediate loading is clinically not possible, progressive implant loading is done using temporary crown first and replaced with permanent crowns once the healing process is complete.

ORAL CANCER SCREENING

We at The Tooth Company conduct screening and detection of oral cancer. Our specialist dentist, either an oral surgeon or oral pathologist, conduct the review. Biopsy is done only as per requirement.
